Mark Hooper

Brisbane born Mark Hooper has performed solo throughout Australasia, the UK, Europe and Canada.  In England Mark gave his solo debut recital  at London's Wigmore Hall and performed at London’s Purcell Room, and regularly in Oxford where he lived for 23 years. 
He has performed concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Saint Saëns and Tchaikovsky as well as all the concertos of Bach. He has worked in close collaboration with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Steve Reich, Mitsuko Uchida, Charles Rosen, Andre Tchaikovsky and Menahem Pressler and has performed in concert with Yehudi Menuhin, Tamas Vasary, Peter Wallfisch and Zara Nelsova. 
Overseas for 34 years, Mark taught piano at Oxford University for the last 11.
